The short version: Your financial data is yours. We don't sell it, share it, or use it for advertising. We only collect what's needed to make the app work.

1. Who We Are

SmartLedger Pro is operated by Anfaal ProjOps. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our web application at smartledger.anfaalprojops.com.

2. What We Collect

Account Information:

Email address (for login and account recovery)
Name or company name (if you provide it in your profile)
Authentication data via Google Sign-In (if you use Google login)

Financial Data You Enter:

Expense entries (dates, categories, amounts)
Income entries (dates, descriptions, amounts)
Monthly notes and memos
Currency preferences

Automatically Collected:

Browser type and version
Device type (desktop or mobile)
Usage patterns (features used, login frequency) via Google Analytics

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

Provide and maintain the SmartLedger Pro service
Authenticate your identity and protect your account
Generate your financial reports and charts
Process subscription payments (via Polar)
Send important service notifications (security alerts, billing issues)
Improve the application based on usage patterns

We never: sell your data to third parties, use your financial data for advertising, share your data with other users, or access your financial entries unless you contact support and explicitly ask us to help troubleshoot an issue.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers located in the United States (us-central1). Firebase provides:

Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
Encryption at rest
SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 compliance
ISO 27001 certification

5. Payment Processing

Subscription payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh). We do not store your credit card number, bank account details, or other payment credentials. Polar handles all payment data in accordance with their own privacy policy. We only receive confirmation of payment status (active, canceled, expired).

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google Firebase — Authentication, database, hosting
Google Analytics — Anonymous usage statistics
Polar — Subscription billing
EmailJS — Support form delivery
Chart.js — Chart rendering (runs locally in your browser)

Each service has its own privacy policy. We select services that meet industry security standards.

7. Data Retention

Active accounts: Your data is retained as long as your account is active.

Canceled subscriptions: Your data is retained for 90 days after subscription cancellation, allowing you to resubscribe without losing data.

Account deletion: If you request account deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Contact us at contact@anfaalprojops.com to request deletion.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access — Export all your data at any time using the CSV export feature
Correction — Edit any of your data directly in the application
Deletion — Request complete account and data deletion
Portability — Download your data in CSV format

9. Cookies & Local Storage

SmartLedger Pro uses:

Firebase authentication tokens — Required to keep you logged in
Local storage — Stores your UI preferences (theme, tutorial status)
Service Worker cache — Enables offline access to the application

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

10. Children's Privacy

SmartLedger Pro is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification.
